I wish I could carry my baby all day long

After nursing my baby, I usually carry him for awhile more then only I let him sleep on the bed. He usually sleeps very sweetly when I am carrying him. Sometimes, he might make some small noises when he is sleeping on the bed even though he doesn't cry for anything. I wish I could carry him all day long, as I love carrying him as well, it's especially nice to see him sleeping so well. Moreover, he might be my last baby that I can carry for so long and so often. But, I am very sleepy and tired sometimes, or I need to do something else, and I just have to put him down on the bed. Do you love to carry babies always?

I always loved carrying my baby, then I was asked to put her down otherwise, she will get so used to me carrying that will always want to carry her. I used to simply carry my baby till she was 3...just like that..here and there

I miss carrying a baby.. but enough for me lol I already have 4 kids. When my youngest child was still a baby, she wasn't that hard to take care off PLUS she doesn't like to be carried! So yup, not tiring. I would just give her milk and put her to bed and she'll just fall asleep..she's an angel! But of course there were times she would want to be carried and lulled to sleep.. but most often not. I don't think it's advisable to always carry them and lull them to sleep that way. It's better if they learn to sleep on their crib or on the bed. To also teach them independence.

I know that here they encourage people to put babies down and not to carry them for longtime, because they get bad habits.

Here we don't encourage to carry the baby for a long time. It is suggested that the baby will fall asleep by himself/herself easily. People say if you carry the baby for a long time and when the baby gets used to it, it is very difficult for him/her to fall asleep in the bed. I don't know. But I remember my son cried badly if I didn't carry him. And usually at that time my husband even carried him outdoors and then went back home secretly when he was asleep. But when the lift opened, my son's eyes were open, too. Then it is the nightmare again

I do enjoy carrying the little ones I was at the hospital when my grandson was born and set and held him for hours. I made comment to a nurse that I was spoiling him and she said it was fine and a good thing. They can't be carried and held enough when tiny. So go for it!

I love it but my mother in law once told me it's not a good habit. Later on, the baby wouldn't want to sleep in bed at all and you will have a more difficult time because you can't do other things except carry the baby. Another reason I was told was, it's going to make the baby too clingy and dependent.

I love carrying my son but with 4 children I know that always holding him would lead to a spoiled child which is NOT going to happen!

I carry and hold mine as long as I can. Because it doesn't take long before they're running off on their own, trying to get into things.
