Little things which make your day

A little butterfly flitting through my garden, the bright colors of plants and trees after a heavy shower, light fluffy clouds sailing through the blue sky all these sights make my day.
Listening to a little birdie sing in the morning puts me ion the right mood for the day. Seeing a little flower bloom in my garden can make me ecstatic. Watching new leaves and buds come up on plants fills me with expectation and hope. The smell of flowers blowing in the wind lifts my soul heavenward.
This morning as this butterfly flitted into my garden I was so filled with joy. I haven't seen too many lately after it stared to rain regularly. The bright morning sun seems to have warmed up this little guy's wings and tempted him to come out and pay me a visit.

When I open my eye and hear no more rain, I am so happen so I can walk around the garden and collect some fruits to eat.

@sofssu What fruits you have, lemon or berry. I have some papaya and pineapple.

@Chungshop I have pomegranates, lychee, papaya, guava and mango here. Most of them need a year or to to start bearing fruits.

right now it would be hubby deciding to get up and go to dallas with me. he wouldnt tell me last night if he would go or not, and now i sit here waiting to see, and I need to be on the road. Sigh

@Jessicalynnt I am so sorry sweetie. Life is sometimes too rough. I guess he is going through too much himself. Cheer up. Nothing remains the same. People change and so do our troubles.

@sofssu I got the, nothing actually. He refuses to get out of bed or do more than grumpy mutter at me. i waited so long it's pretty much too late for me to go now. Mad at myself, frustrated at him. pondering just going to take a long nap, maybe when I wake up it will be tomorrow or something. I just wanted this to be important to him, for him to care to go. I wanted too much, and pinned my hopes on it.

Many things make me happy. They are my family, my students, my travel photos, and my books. I love all of them and also my new laptop. I love how it help me attain my goal.

@sofssu That is good. I am just happy with my phone but when I received a laptop as a gift, I become happier and I am very thankful for that.

those thingies make me happy 'n fill my heart with joy also :) yer gonna need to come here'n track down the butterflies fer me. i fear i've only captured one with the camera this year! 'd one out here the other day that looked to be bigger'n the hummers. dang thingy'd only hover 'round through the pine 'n cedars. all photo attempts thwarted 's 't blended'n so well - which's no doubt the strategy so's not to succumb to bein' somebody's lunch.

@crazyhorseladycx There are so many new features now and even a novice get get professional quality pics. All for a price though. I have personal been hankering after a lens for capturing birds but the price makes me shudder. I will hang on to what I have until things get better for me financially.

@sofssu i'm with ya there, hon. if'n 't t'weren't fer the generosity'f a fella the hubs'n i did a roof fer, i'd not the zoom lens i've got fer the camera i own. the high cost'f such, e'en a macro lens, keeps me from gettin' some great shots. but, i take what i can get :)

@sofssu ya got a motion mode?? dang't! there's been so many advancements'n the photo takin' world since my camera came out...'tis temptin' 't times to purchase anew, but alas, i'll keep this'un 'til't no longer functions 'n nobody can fix't, lol.
i can do rapid fire shots, but fear the speed'f my camera jest aint high 'nough to catch those hummers'n flight...nor toads catchin' bugs. spent nearly'n hour (o'er 300 shots) layin''n the ground not far from a toad yesterday. tryin' desperately to capture its tongue out. all to no avail, jest a blur'n the photos :(

I love your photo... I very rarely get nice photos of butterflies..that would make me happy ..as do some of the other things you'velisted plus many more..too numerous to mention here... but walking my dog.... the seasons... having coffee with friends taking photos and sharing them... to name just a few,...

@sueznewz2 I can relate to all that you mention. All of those make me happy to.. I guess we are not so hard to please. Thanks for the comment about the picture.. I couldn't get a full wing spread, but was happy with what I got.

@JESSY3236 Was he stuck and didn't know how to get out? Has happened to me a couple of times and on both occasions I have had to catch the bird and let him out.

@sofssu I don't think he was stuck because he flew away after I went outside. Then came back on the screen again. I pounded on the wall, and he left. My mother says maybe he has a nest in the bush near the window and he was protecting it. He was on the screen again a few mins ago, but he is gone again.
