What kind of parents are they?

I just saw in the news 3 kids below the age of 6 left and locked inside their house while the parents are away. The details of the news are not complete but judging from the looks of the children, I'd say they were there on their own for 3 days already. Their skin have contracted some kind of disease already. The youngest doesn't seem to stop crying and from the looks of it, she hasn't eaten for more than 2 days.
It was very fortunate that their neighbor saw what was happening and so he immediately called Social Services.
The kids were rescued and brought in to the center. The doctors said that the children are suffering from some sort of skin disease as well as dehydration.
The parents of the children have yet to show themselves.
I hope the police would capture them and brought to jail because what they had done is clearly child maltreatment and is against the law.

What a terrible thing to do to children. In Australia, a woman has been tried for going OVERSEAS and leaving a 6 year old and a 4 year old to look after themselves. She is their step-mother and the father is overseas somewhere. These types of cases are very sad.

The parents will be charged for maltreating the children. For sure the police are already tracking them.

The father of the children went to social services to try and get his kids. Good thing the chances of those kids ending up with their parents again are close to impossible. The father said he just went out to find a job, but when he got back his wife was already gone so he locked his children to go find his wife. Police and social services, as well as father's neighbors aren't buying it.

How irresponsible their parents are!
Imagine living those children below 6-year-old inside the house for 3 days!
But then we will not know if they just go for a short ride to buy some groceries and met an accident,
that's why they haven't shown up yet.

Oh my goodness that is terrible. I do hope the parents are found and brought to justice. I don't understand why any parent would do something like this!

Something similar happened in front of me yesterday. We were in an elevator a small child of around 2 years was accompanied by his parents.The child got down on the wrong floor. The parents only noticed that their child was missing when they reached the top floor.
They lost their child due to lack of some attention. That's ridiculous!
