I Just Had a Rude Awakening

Last month I changed Internet services and found out today that what I thought I had and what I have are two different things.
I just downloaded my last picture. I can take more, but downloading it is out of the question. I have 600 gb of data allowance. It seems I need more. I've already gone over. So I don't know if it's just downloading or if it's everything I do on the Internet. Does blogging here cause data usage? Does any kind of Internet usage cause data usage?
I need answers or my Internet bill is going to be sky high and that's what I was trying to avoid.
So all you tech geeks out there, I need help on this one.
Thanks for reading.

Yes, browsing and accessing your email also use data and use up your allowance. 600Gb is probably enough if you only check your email and browse the Internet for maybe 30 minutes to an hour each day. Downloading images and music and watching movies will REALLY use up your allowance fast, however!

it's ok for basic usage but you really need no data caps if you're going to do a lot of picture stuff as that is data heavy.
anything you do on the net will more than likely eat into your allowance but pictures and videos are particularly data heavy.

everything causes data usage, but certain things cause alot more. Watching videos, downloading anything that will raise it.

@Jessicalynnt It's the PC. At least I have the data taken care of. I'm going to need to get a new PC soon as the disk drive is bad. At least it says it is. I have everything saved to Dropbox so no worries if it does crash on me.

So I found out. I'm so far behind right now on answering notifications I had to go to my inbox to get them all now, and hope that I can get all of them. I got the data upgraded yesterday to unlimited, but I'm still having trouble with the Internet.

Some things use a lot more than others. We streamed 4 movies from the library one month. That put us over. So, we don't do that any more. I do this, and my mystery shop reports, etc. We both do some searching, browsing and that keeps us within our limit so we don't have to get a bigger plan.

That's a good idea. Since I'm on the Internet all the time, I did get it changed to unlimited yesterday.

download big files such as music, pictures, etc will eat up your bandwidth like no one's business.

just like what my son told me, using data charges speeds up the battery and also consumes the allowed data, so i refrain myself from using mobile data charges because we have wifi at home.
