Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my Birthday.
I a 35 years old today. Sometimes I feel a LOT older.
I didn't get any sleep last night because my husband woke up sick right after I fell asleep, so he woke me up. I sat with him about an hour, then tried to go back to bed but could not fall back asleep.
Good thing I took today off of work. I've put in for my birthday off ever since I first started working. It is my gift to myself We never really DO anything, but at least I don't have to pretend to be nice to a bunch of verbally abusive people for one day.
There will be cake an ice cream later, and a couple of small gifts. They are going to surprise me for supper (not sure if we'll be eating out or grilling out) and that will be the extent of my birthday festivities.

I don't celebrate mine. It's either I go to work on my birthday or stay home, do chores and sleep.

ugh to your hubby being sick on your birthday! I do hope the rest of the day proved to go a lot better.
My kids usually do something for me on my birthday even though it wouldn't bother me if they didn't. I turned 50 this year and we planned a trip to the museum in the little town where my middle daughter lives. My son wouldn't come which made me sad.

I usually go out for a big meal with friends on my February birthday - hope your husband being ill didn't spoil yours too much

That sounds fun, celebrating with your friends.
He had to go to work taht morning, and sneezed alot the rest of the day but didn't really make what little we did any less enjoyable.

Happy late Birthday!! It depends on if I have company or not. If I have company, I usually go either shopping, or to a movie.

Happy birthday! Hope you've had/are having a great day! My birthdays are pretty quiet - had my 40th last month and just had a takeaway Chinese meal as didn't fancy doing anything else
