UK Votes To Leave EU

United States

This is somewhat shocking. I think the polls indicated UK would vote to remain. What now? I do like that the pollsters were wrong. I hate that they try to predict a winner in United States elections before all the polls have even closed. I wonder how European and British mylotters feel about this Oh, the stock market tomorrow!

I feel bad. I have family in England, and I think that they will go through very hard times. I am not even sure that UK will survive to a Brexit : Scots and Irish have massively voted for Europe. In a large part of continental Europe it is seen as a new start : UK was the country who was trying to lower standards since they joined and was somewhere blocking the development of Europe...

No we weren't @toppffer - we were looking for a fairer deal but our inept Prime Minister bungled it! I do think continental Europe is seeing it as a new start, if only because other nations are now considering a referendum on their own membership...

@chrisandmark The only party wanting a referendum in my country to leave Europe is the far right party, and it is not new, as they have always been against Europe... But maybe a few countries more linked to UK than we are will follow you, like Holland or Denmark.

The stock market started going crazy at about 2am UK time - I'm sure it'll level out though
