Sewing Baby Quilts

In a little over a month I’ll be heading north to visit family for a couple of weeks. Well, the family has expanded since I was last there. I have two more great-nephews. As I don’t have any grandsons of my own to sew for, I sew quilts for my brothers and sister’s grandchildren. (Someday I’ll be sewing for my own-I hope.)
As I don’t like to do marathon sewing sessions, I’m going to start today. At least I’ll start cutting the squares. I think the animal print will make adorable quilts for the two little boys.
Do you sew baby quilts?

I haven't made any in awhile. I have made patchwork ones and also quilts where I put it together keeping the top fabric in one piece and simply quilting around the pictures on the fabric.

@BettyB They sound like quilts to me. If the fabric is quilted, it's a quilt! Now I've said the world quilt so many times, it sounds funny to me!

@Jeanniemaries They turn out nice and are very durable. I like seeing them used.

I love to sew, unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to indulge.

Family will love your hand made gifts, they make such a difference.
The animal patterns are a fun choice.
No, i'm not good with the sewing machine but my mother made them for my babies and other babies and I've helped out with the handwork including embroidery.

I still have some of the quilts made for my boys. One day I hope to pass them on to grandchildren. I'm starting the quilts now but I don't need them until the first of August. As we are going out of town for the first two weeks in July, I need to get started.

I've made quite a few over the years. They're fun and easy. I don't think I'd enjoy making a full sized quilt. Too much work.

Oh, those will be super cute! I don't really sew baby quilts, no babies to sew for right now (and I better not have grandchildren for at least 10 or more years). Right now I have a couple of other sewing projects to do and still more that I have planned, so I have plenty of things to sew.

Making things that are pretty and useful is relaxing and fun. I would love to see some of the stuff you make.

I like sewing, but have not tried doing quilts. Do you put foam in-between it so it will look like a warmer? Might look at Youtube how to do it. The animal prints are so cute.

I am really bad at sewing.
I think a quilt is the nicest presents that you can give to someone.

I love the animal print that you've got here also, timeless.
I love baby quilts, but have only made one and that was an embroidered one.
One day last week I am pretty certain that I saw one of our son's former quilts on a child in a stroller.
I donate what I can to either goodwill or to the women's shelter, so I wouldn't be surprised.
That one was made to last, as I was given it 27 years ago.
