Things Are Getting Busy At Work!

We have inventory tomorrow so it's going to be a crazy day of counting EVERYTHING in the store. Plus, we are now short two employees because one quit and one was let go. We have a new employee who just got hired in but she is in training right now and won't be much help to us for a while. We will be getting a lot of extra hours now to make up for being short staffed, but I don't mind too much. I could use the extra money. My only concern is that we won't have enough staff to cover my much needed vacation in August. I signed up for two weeks off. I'll be lucky if they can give me one. We'll have to see how things go...

I think by August, the new employee will be good enough to cover your duties. She comes in at the right time since she can get more hours while you are away.

@missjessicadawn I am not lucky. If you are retirement age, then you are old and you don't want to be old. Marry that doctor or at least dentist.

That;s how things go sometimes. I hope you're able to take the vacation. Being short of staff can be pretty rough for other employees.
