Washing by Hand!!!

I don't think it is something that I like to do everyday, washing by hand. I find it hard already, by the thought of just have to wash either socks and underwear. My machine is really in needs of repairs, the water leaks on the floor nd it is always wet in front of it. The real reason we didn't have it checked or brought to be fixed yet, you probably guest it, 'lack of time and money. But I know that the seal is done and if we wait forever to have it fixed, a new one would be a lot more expensive. The idea of taking well care of my machine is that we always had it fixed every time it had something, my washing machine is 21 years of age, time sure fly. It is good to do our best to make it last longer , I see the price of those new ones, and boy, you almost need a loan now to pay for it.

You kept it going for 21 years! I would start saving for a new one I think. Our front loader cost about $600 from Sears. One can spend a lot more. But the top loader are less now. Here is one

You are encouraging me, because I was thinking that they were all over 1.000/set.

@beenice2 Well, that is just a washing machine, not a set. I have no need for a new dryer, as I rarely use it. This dryer will probably last forever. I don't need my washer to be shiny and bright red or anything like that. I don't need it up on a pedestal; I can bend down long enough to pull the clothes out. I do like a front loader as it uses less water and less detergent. But top loaders can be fairly inexpensive if one looks around.

I don't envy you. I would so hate it if my washing machine broke. I am having issues with the dryer right now. That reminds me, I need to call somebody about that!

Yes it can be a bummer. Where we lived before we had a retired repairman the was asking only $50.00 to fix the washing machine and the same for the dryer, I am missing it.

Oh! That machine seems too old. I also did handwashing, I washed our clothes twice a week to lessen up dirty clothes during weekends..

It looks old but it did a lot of washing, we are going to see if we can have it fixed again, so we save our cash for a new one someday.

I've been washing my clothes by hand. At my parents' place, they have a washer. Still, I prefer washing my clothes manually.

My mom had a wringer washer, and I was helping too but now it is a bit different for me, I got used to that nice machine, and with a family of 7, you don't want to have to wash everything by hands.

I think got your money's worth out of that old one. Might be worth trying to check ebay or similar sites for another of the same type second hand.

Yes we do have our money's worth for sure, it is good. You sure don't want to have to buy a new one every year for sure.

When you don't have much cash on hand, it is always too expensive.
