The grass really is greener over the septic tank!

United States

Since we have had less than an inch of rain in the last month or more, you can imagine what color our yard is - brown. There were some weeds that were growing nicely and since my husband has been dying to use that new lawn tractor - he went after them with a vengeance. When he finished he had to tell me that he wishes the entire yard was as nice as the leech fields are. Yes, when the weather is like this we can clearly see where our septic system is - there is bright green grass growing and it's extremely thick. So in honor of a move by the same name yes, the grass is greener over the septic tank. Photo: pixabay.com/en/rush-grass-dew-meadow-dewdrop-463370/

This year all the grass is green, we had so much rain. We have no septic tank, but city sewer.

@LadyDuck You won't find many sewers in the country - only in and around big cities.

The grass in my garden is totally out of control due to our current intermediate rain and sunshine.

I have 2 tanks @AbbyGreenhill . 1 is a 200 gallon tank and the other is 300 gallons. Both the lids however are above ground. You can bet though that the grass is definitely green around those lids.
