Amiens in France has attractions other than its magnificent cathedral. I've made a slideshow of some of the sights we saw last year when we were travelling in our motor-home. The red statues some of you would have seen before. I loved the display of children's shoes. I haven't looked at kids' shoes for many a year but what wonderful styles they have now.
We had lunch at a café. I was very good and bypassed all the cakes but couldn't resist a 'floating island'. In front of our café was a terraced lawn and a little pond with dozens of bright umbrellas strung up over the area together with bathing sheds full of deck chairs. People were reading or relaxing on the chairs under the umbrellas.
The modern looking pedal-powered vehicle was a taxi of sorts and I liked the fringing on the motor-bike. What do you think of the women's heads?

In France you DO NOT bypass the cakes--that is against the law!!

They're a bit different aren't they? Not sure I'd want them looking at me all day.

Love France, they have very interesting new and old structures, items etc and the butter laden food is great. Thanks for sharing your slideshow, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The heads are a bit different aren't they? We bought a cheap motor-home in Ireland where our son lives and put it on the ferry to the continent. We hope to go back next year and do some more touring then we will sell the motor-home.

@Jessicalynnt I hadn't thought about needing headsets to hear the music. I'll stop worrying so much now!
