When I was suffering from depression, one of the doctor suggested me this. So there is one company named seven seas. They had such oil tablet. It is rich of Vitamin A and Omega 3. I dont take the supplements anymore because I am relying on meditation. But these tablets can be handy for diabetic patients too. Ever heard of these tablets? Or know anyone who needs it? @skysnap I'm a great believer in cod liver oil. Great for your joints and hair and just about everything else. I take it neat rather than in capsules.

I took cod liver oil emulsified with Orange Juice in the eighties which helped a lot with the arthritis in my knees. Later I found out it came already emulsified and could be purchased in some health food stores in three different flavors. Even though the taste was much better, since I'd been emulsifing it myself I could still taste the oil in the compound, or maybe it was my memory remembering the taste. Even then, I made myself take it for about a year. I noticed a major difference within a short amount of time. Then after that year I decided to give myself a break and when I finally went back to look for the product it wasn't being sold any longer. Even now after so many years have passed, I would take the product I found if it was still sold in stores, but I'd probably still remember the taste of the real thing too, although I don't think I'd throw up.

I remember when we were children , our parents used to give us that Cod Liver oil . But it's in syrup and it tastes a bit so fishy , we don't like it . But we can never say no to our father who is the one giving it to us . Eventually as we grew older we didn't take that anymore . Now , take Fish oil , just like that in the picture .

I've heard of them but never knew they could be taken for depression or even diabetes. My doctor never mentioned them to me. Instead he went for other medications. I'm not sure why.

Usually doctor make money from suggesting meds that take longer to work on us. that is for their interest than our health.

Did they help with depression?
@skysnap (20154)

Omega 3 in it does work on depression. But issue with most meds is we get used to it. so I prefer meditation.

hmmm. is it okay for somebody with a heart ailment? i better ask my cardiologist
@skysnap (20154)

You have to ask doctor for that. I think fish oil contains heat so may not be suitable for heart.

Yes, I know about cod liver oil but never had it. I have heard that it smells bad. I prefer flaxseed oil, which is known as the best natural supplement for omega-3 fatty acid, and it is full of other nutrients also.

I have never heard them used for depression but that is great if they help some people find relief. I take medication to treat my depression.

I seem to recall reading recently about some other fish oil tablets that are even better. Might have been calamari, or maybe red krill.
