Good afternoon. What a morning we had.We left for the beach at seven. Got there around eight.Weather wise was nice and clear warm. Quite breezy for a couple of hours. On mistake the tide was in. We had to find a place to sit and move way back on the rock. The place on the right is jam packed. We are talking about early in the morning. One mistake.I very seldom check the forecast on when the high tide and low. This was the first for us.But it did not damper our stay. After few hours or so.I had enough. The wind die down some. On our way home we stop at a flea market. No luck for us. The weather there and the sun made me a little tired. Do you ever check the forecast on high and low tide when you going. All in all is was fun There I am sitting on the rocks as the tide came rolling in Have a good one photo is mine if it came out

That was a bit disappointing for you, but you had some sunshine by the look of it.

@jaboUK we had plenty of sun.The breeze kicked up off and on.Remember of my age.I can be cold any time. But we enjoy and nice to get out. While there.Mike does not like to shop.So I took a stroll to downtown there and shop around.Did not find or shall I say do not need anything. But it was nice to see families enjoying them self. When I was married we come here out forth of july stay for two weeks. It was fun and the kids loved it.they still go back there to remember the good times. I always love going to the ocean since I was a kid.A kid?not sure How are things there?the family okay?

@amadeo That must have been great times with the kids all those years ago. Things are fine here, thank you. We're going out to lunch with our son and daghter and their spouses tomorrow - no special occasion, just for the fun of it.

A little sun is great but too much exposure isn't good. I hope you were hydrated. That's great that you were to get out to the beach. Enjoy the fourth.

Which beach was it Fredo? Yes I used to check the tides in and out constantly when I lived near it as we were only 50 ft away. Sorry no luck at the flea market. Sounds a lovely day there though. Not doing much here, sitting with Mom.

What do you mean with "On mistake the tide was in."? Whose mistake was it? The tide follows strict rules. You can check the times of high tide and low tide in calendars and rely on the information.

I don't go to the beach often but yes I would check the tide since it is so important when it comes to time at the beach.

We used to have a beach house so you'd think I'd remember to check tide times, but I never do. I end up with whatever I get when I go to the beach. And on those busy, crowded days, it's slim pickings to find a good spot to sit. But in the end it's all good. I do love to sit with my toes in the water while I read a good book. And then I usually get splashed! lol

I never check the tide data when going to the beach My main concern is checking the flag data to see if it is safe to go in the gulf as there is sometimes rip tides

No.. I had never such experience. I had an opportunity to enjoy the beach at Kovalam in Kerala of India. It was a nice beach. But, there also I had no knowledge of how to swim in sea water. Later, someone near by had explained to me how to read the tides and move forward.
