When iPhones Go Bad

The other day I wrote about how Siri started talking in the middle of Bye Bye Birdie. What I didn't know at the time was that this was all part of an issue my iPhone 4s was about to have. My home button stopped working and my phone refused to shut off. It was always on and once I got on an app I had to basically hit the on/off to get off that page since the home button wasn't working. I decided it was time for a new phone. I am now the proud owner of the iPhone SE. This is a lot less expensive than the larger iPhone 6 or 6s. It seems to be very similar to my old 4s in most ways so I feel right at home. I do wonder though how a phone is worth $400? The bigger ownes were more than $200 more. It is rather crazy. But my entire life is one my phone, my calendar, my contacts and all my games. I need to have an operational phone. I do still have Siri but now she has an English accent. I love the way she says moebile rather than mobile, much more civilized. I could have given her an Aussie accent if I prefer, I will see how I like British Siri and decide the ultimate accent later.

My hubby uses an iPhone and its just over 2 years old and we are waiting for it to start acting up, we've been told that they only last about that long. I have an android, and its probably closer to 3 years old, and works wonderfully.

So your other mobile was possessed by an evil spirit. Maybe you should have just had it exorcised.

@BelleStarr In the meantime you should keep it well away from your new mobile so that Evil Siri will not migrate to your new mobile.

I wish I could afford an iPhone but my smart phone will have to do. My brother really wants an iPhone and we are both due for an upgrade.

What fun playing with all the different accents. I just have an old flip phone, the most I can do is choose from a handful of ring tones.

@BelleStarr I think we pay over and over for the same thing. The phones probably only cost a few $$$ to make.As long as we keep paying, the prices will keep climbing.

@BelleStarr that's good to hear, hon. there's nary a thingy wrong with my now 12 yr ol' nokia outside the fact that all providers now say such'll no longer work. i think 'tis a ploy to get folks money myself.

I had a 4s and got the 6s when we were in Florida. It is super and so easy for me to use. My 4s is busy playing videos for Swagbucks. Win, win. I love Siri's English accent, but now have Alexa's American accent to deal with on Echo. I'm hearing voices! Lol!

Haha! I'd like to hear the Aussie accent. I wonder if I'd consider it an accent? We do think some states have more of an accent than others so it would be interesting to know what Siri thinks an Aussie accent is like.

You need to get a working phone. It hurts to buy one but if you use it all the time, you need it.

So interesting it can change accents? It could be fun, more so if you like to learn new accents for your English language.
