Target don't sell margarine!

So my wife was at Target today, looking to buy a few sticks of margarine to cook with as it imparts a very nice flavor in eggs, flour tortillas, and so on. When she was at the checkout stand paying for some butter as there was no margarine available, the checker told her, essentially that but not a quote, they only sell butter because nobody in this area will buy margarine so since there doesn't appear to be a demand for it in this area they don't sell anything but butter. Okay then, they are stuck up. My opinion of course, but when I once was looking to find my wife in the Target, the customer service representative said, essentially but not a direct quote, that they do not page customers at their store. Why is this? They are stuck up that's all. My opinion of course. Then to make it all even worse, I am a Starbucks gold member and Target has an in store Starbucks. I thought, but must have been mistaken, that coffee refills for gold card members were free, but I was actually charged fifty cents for the re-fill. Maybe this is the way they have always done business but next time I go to a stand alone Starbucks I am going to ask, before ordering my next coffee, "Can I get a free refill since I am a gold card user?" If they answer that I have to pay an extra 50 cents for the refill then I will have to do more research on this to find out if this policy is different or if I was merely assuming things. But as far as Target being stuck up. That's just what I think. I may be wrong.

It seems that they are moving into a niche instead of selling everything that people will need. They just do not have a large customer base. Perhaps you can search for other supermarket chains instead of using them again.

In many cases they have very good products, but when my wife wants something and can't get it it becomes a matter of finding another store that does sell what she wants. As for me I like butter as much as the next guy. But I think Kroger has a much broader selection of dairy products anyway and I am quite fond of Kroger.

@lookatdesktop It sure is a waste of time to travel to another store just to get margarine! Hope it does not happen too often.

@scheng1 It does. If it ain't margarine it will be some spice or brand of coffee. The fact is, there is no such store that has every conceivable brand of product all under one roof, even Walmart is not that perfect. But then there is always Amazon, but they don't offer dairy products for delivery I don't believe. And Kroger now delivers only not in our area.

If anything, you should be grateful. Margarine is worse for you than butter.

I know Targets prices are very high so they might be stuck up.
