Making ourselves feel better.

When you are feeling worried , anxious, tense, nervous etc, what do you do to make yourself feel better? I admit that when I was younger , I used to do a lot of comfort eating when I was down. But now I am older and more sensible , I am looking for other (non eating) ways to take my mind off my problems. Suggestions anybody ?

I listen music to comfort myself when I feel bad or read a book.Sometimes I write a poem for something or somebody.And I do it when I feel good.When I finish the work I please myself. These are my hobbies.Doing the thing that I liked can make me feel better.Have a nice day.

@millie02 I took up just writing all my thoughts in a journal. It is very good feeling you are a good writer I can see from your book reviews. You don't have to worry about it making sense even , it just you and your journal with nobody reading them. You eighteenth try that.I wish I had started years ago @coffeebreakwhateer gives service in am Trying called junk journaling ciffebreakwhatever is the best so you should look Today I am going to read a LighT book this weekend. Something to take my mind off things nothing heavy.
