I am an Apatheist. I'll leave the definition of what an Apatheist is since a lot of people seem to think it is the same thing as being an Atheist. An Apatheist is also someone who is not interested in accepting or denying any claims that gods exist or do not exist. In other words, an apatheist is someone who considers the question of the existence of gods as neither meaningful nor relevant to his or her life. I know religion is important to a lot of people. Religion was never really talked about in my house because we had more important things to talk about and discuss. I was raised to respect everyone know matter what their religion is. I don't determine who my friends are by what religion they are.

I don't belong to any religion and don't believe in the existence of any supernatural agent. At the same time, I firmly believe in the right of people to live by the dictates of their conscience, provided, of course, those don't trample on anyone else's rights. As for label for myself? I'm don't care.

The existence of religion is neither meaningful nor relevant to my life. I am an atheist and do not believe in the existence of god, also I don't determine my friends based on what religion they are. I also know that in the current religious-politico climate there is a lot of misinformed people around the world.

@pgiblett "I also know that in the current religious-politico climate there is a lot of misinformed people around the world." Sadly, that is the truth. Not many people think they're doing god a favor by slaughtering their fellow human, but the havoc they wreck and the pain the inflict is astounding.

@msiduri The plague of misinformed people is what is most likely to send humanity sliding back to barbarism.

@pgiblett I can't help but wonder sometimes if we're not already on the way.

I was raised as a catholic and we often go to church when i was growing up. I suppose now I consider myself as an agnostic because I believe that God exist but we don't really know, no one knows for sure. I do believe in a higher power. I don't go to church anymore since I only see hypocrites there. That's what i believe.

I'm not religious but I do believe in God and I do try to pray when I can. Both of my parents are religious but I just want to follow my own truth and what works for me.

I personally could care less about religion. I was raised catholic. But after going to catholic school for 8 years in grammar school, I lost all respect for them. I find religion hateful and evil on many levels. We don't need religion to be good to one another. We are human beings. Everyone should be treated with respect.

Everything you wrote here @CaseyRoss9966 makes sense to me except one thing. I might add what you wrote sounds good, like not allowing religion to determine who your friends are or who you want to be friendly with. The question is why post about religion if you are not interested in it? You will get people I'm sure that will comment about what their religious outlook is. Just a question, not meant to be sarcastic or anything negative!! ?

Although to a degree I follow the religion I was born to, I regard myself as an Agnostic. I guess a part of me wants believe there is a God, but I struggle to understand why he/she would allow so much unnecessary suffering in the world.

I never heard the term Apatheist. Interesting. I am an atheist and really have no interest in religion.

Been raised as a Roman Catholic but I'm not a practicing one. I don't go to church or attend religious activities, though I pray silently when I take a shower and do good deeds.
