Signed Sealed and Delivered

I got the phone call early this afternoon, I think, or late morning, from the person sending the Notary Public to my house to sign the paperwork.
So with mounting excitement I waited. The next phone call I got was a telemarketer. I hung up, and continued to plug away at my notifications until they were all caught up then I went to wait, watching a bit of Netflix. I got a phone call from her shortly before 5 when she was supposed to be here, but she didn't yet have the documents and asked if it was okay if she came later this evening. I said sure, whenever she had them. She told me I was sweet.
So I continued to watch Netflix and waited, and got a phone call, expecting it was her, it was a survey for politics, automated, I slammed the phone down and went back to my program and a short while later I heard a knock at the front door and yelled to come to the side door because there is no way for me to get to the front door to let her in, note the picture.
She was very pleasant, and we talked about everything including getting a full packet of documents signed, that was like a miniature mortgage packet and all the papers I signed when buying the house.
She could even pronounce my last name as good as me. When I asked her with surprise about it, she looked at me surprised that anybody would get it wrong - yeah, go figure, right. Anyway it turned out she went to school with some Routhieaux's, so the name was familiar to her.
We discussed jobs - her husband's and my father's. She was even familiar with the one I didn't think anybody would remotely remember - the P.C. Monday Tea Co. which was a door to door salesman type job like Fuller Brush, if any of you can remember that from many years ago. She even described it. It was great talking to her while signing my life away in all those papers.
So, at long last the house is no longer mine. It's completely signed over to the loan company and they will be FedEx'd to them tomorrow. YEA!!!
So now the next step for me is to go to Housing and let them know I have the paperwork signed, and have an out date for the house, and get the inspection on the new apartment set up so I can move in as soon as possible.
It feels great. So now I just need a lot more boxes and get the rest of this house packed up and ready to move. I'll be glad to get into a new place.
It will happen soon now. Everything is signed, sealed, and delivered, as they say.
So how was your day? Thanks for reading.

My days always seem pretty much the same. I need to shake them up. I mow, garden, shower, eat nap shake and repeat.

First off, how do you pronounce your last name? Sorry, can't help it.
Good luck in moving houses. It can be a daunting task but if you are well prepared, it can be a breeze. My day has been good so far. It has been raining but I have no plans leaving the house so I'll just be on myLot posting comments the whole day.

@just4him thanks for the education. Now I know how to pronounce it if I ever encounter the same last name as yours.
Moving can be quite the task but once you get used to it, you won't break a sweat.

@allen0187 This isn't my first move. I've moved over 20 times in my life, so this is old hat, and I hope it will be my last move.

To see that picture, I don't miss the dog hair. That house no longer exists. They tore it down shortly after I moved out.
Yes, the apartment I moved to is the one I'm in now. I love it here. I do miss Pip. She was a wonderful companion.

@Jessicalynnt Is that the Christmas movie on Hallmark? If so I noticed I have it ready to watch on my DVR. I've added almost all the Christmas movies this week to the DVR list. Now to find time to watch them.

Our day has gone very well, I would hate to have to get ready to move as you are doing. I hope to never move again, just getting ready for the painters and carpet layers is more than I want to do, but it must be done. Good luck with your move. Did you have a yard sale to reduce your stuff, or are you taking everything with you?
