What a pain. That battery and those spark plugs I had to buy last week wiped out our entire grocery fund - however, we're doing fine because we stock up on food! For those of you who have many cans of beans in the cupboard, like me, make sure you stock up on spices. They're a life saver. It's still not the most exciting menu but it's a lot better than going hungry. Ah well. Payday is coming up on friday and then I can restock on fruit and tortillas and meat and gasoline and bug repellent and everything that makes life good.

I'm sorry you are going through this. The check is in the mail.

@Rohvannyn Hopefully not as long as it took our mortgage check to get to its destination.

I'll hang in there. How long could it take, after all?

We have many pounds of dried beans. In a pinch we eat those.

Yeah, those are the true emergency rations. We go through the canned stuff first.

@Rohvannyn I hate em, but when one is hungry, one eats whatever is edible

Stocking up is quite helpful. Especially around the stormy seasons. Certainly have to do what we can and save as much as we can. Have a great rest of the week.
