I found it both humorous and a bit upsetting as I love to laugh and have fun. I never realized some younger people think older people do not love to have fun or be happy. Now I feel a tad insecure as I know how I feel and how I love funny things and humorous things, but does being old mean to other young people we no longer love fun and being happy? That post did upset me and also made me laugh but I fear for that brash young man who has to blurt out just what he thinks with no caring for whoever he hurts.

I totally disagree with that . I believe being happy and having fun is important for everyone. I love laughing as well and i would not give it up for the world!

Well, to heck with people who feel that old folks should be fun loving and laughing. Let them think as they please. I enjoy a good laugh.

Actually, I think it's quite the opposite. We learned how to laugh at and with ourselves (there's a line in a Statler Brothers song that mentions "little moron jokes"...try putting that in a song today!!!). Thanks to political correctness, youngsters think "hello" should be banned because it's preaching religion (as in hell). Political correctness has removed all humor from the world, in my opinion. I'm glad to be older because I know how to laugh and have fun without worrying that my iddy biddy feewings are gonna be hurt.
