When Was The Last Time You Wrote Something With A Pen On A Paper

Writing with a pen on a piece of paper is now a dying art. Yesterday I was sitting with a friend while he was writing a letter to his mother who has been to the state capital. My friend had an excellent handwriting when we were classmates in the middle school. But now he seems to have forgotten how to write. The letter he somehow managed to write was quite illegible.I wonder how his mother would read it.Don't you think writing is a dying art now?

My handwriting has suffered terribly since I don't write that much anymore. I've been spoiled by always using the computer

@else34 Really . That's good because you get to practice your handwriting everyday . Me not anymore . Just always typing in my laptop and just signing in papers. I get to practice writing my signature , a lot of times.

Whenever I have a package and I have to sign it? Oh also when I need to fill some slips for different transactions. I just realize that I type things these days.

@else34 I already cut ties with my family and they will never see me again. My friends are contented with Facebook chat. I was a little kid when I wrote letter to my dad when he was still working abroad back in the 90's.

I had posted something similar to this a few weeks ago.. purely because my handwriting is terrible . I was horrified by it when I had to write a note to my son's teacher.. Since then I have been writing a paragraph or two everyday. Its looking better now.

I do think that. The last time I wrote was about five minutes ago. It was with a pencil. About fifteen minutes ago I wrote something with a fountain pen. About a week ago I wrote a letter to my grandmother - in cursive.

Writing does seem to be becoming a dying art but I still write quite often for one reason or another.

@cheers2life,I can understand. Most people do the same. They seldom write with a pen. However I think the art of writing should be preserved. We can't let it die.You may still improve your handwriting with the help of the internet. There are many blogs and perhaps videos, too, that can help you improve your handwriting.
