Too stressed to be online, sorry The other week I told you about my son want to end his life, well today he had a meeting with the psychiatric team along with his mum. In the meeting, he said that he still intends to end his life on or before the 15th July however they won’t admit him into the hospital because they feel he is safe at home. I personally can’t see the sense in that, I feel he would be better in the hospital where he could be watched and kept safe. So this evening my ex-wife and her hubby and I have come up with a plan. They will take him in the morning to the holiday home in Lyme Regis some 90 miles away where they will be able to keep a better eye on him and keep him safe. It will also safeguard my other two children if anything did happen, something they shouldn't see. I don’t think I will get much sleep tonight and until now I’ve not been online, been too stressed about it all. It’s good to be here although, thank you for reading, sorry it’s not a nice post.

How awful. I cannot believe they psychiatric team wouldn't admit him to the hospital after he clearly stated that he had intentions. That is INSANE no pun intended.

I am sorry about what is causing you stress at the moment. I hope that everything will be good soon with your son. May he finds an inspiration to move forward on his life.

I pray your son gets better. Hopefully he'll receive the help he needs. It seems that your son has a great support so that should help.

Are you able to get him care at another hospital? What an awful, stressful thing to have to deal with having on your plates as parents. I'm so so sorry that they refuse to take action. Bloody hell, what parent needs to be denied help at this point? Is your ex prepared to involve police if necessary?

Thank you, I posted it about 3 weeks ago. I really hope they do keep him safe and he gets to see the 16th, Not sure why the 15th is the date apart from it the day I got married to my ex-wife

That is so sad. I do hope your plan works. There is not enough help out there for these troubled kids - and adults. My son is still not in a very good place.

Oh my, my heart just jumped to my throat. I would think doctors would take a person seasouly when they say they want to take their life. I hope you all get to the bottom of why he feels the need to hurt himself and in doing so that it isn't helping what ever he is feeling. I feel your stress, I wish him a safety and to get the help he needs.

I can see why you'd be worried and stressed @kevin1877uk . I can't believe that hospital wouldn't take him. That's ridiculous. I'm glad you all had a back up plan.

This behavior is a cry for help, my sister tried several times but when she got on meds she told me she never was going to go through with it just just wanted someone to hear her. I will send prayer for you child to get medication that he needs and I assure you will help.

So sorry and anxious about this. His expressions are a cry for help.Please do not miss out on any psychiatric appointments, he needs counseling. Thinking of you all.Takecare of yourselves too, eat healthy and exercise, you will be under a lot of stress.I'm a teacher, I've come across these situations. Praying all will be well.
