I Thought My Bank Jumped Thirty Cents this Afternoon

I worked on a bunch of notifications this morning before leaving the house to wash windows and when I returned my computer had shut down and rebooted. Once I opened it up and checked mylot for new activity I noticed a thirty cents increase, or so I thought. I needed to run a few errands so I could pay bills later and thought about it while driving around. I keep track of my bank amounts on a spreadsheet and got to thinking that probably the amount showing was several days prior. That was the situation. Somehow I never saved the amounts saved each day between the ninth of the month and today, so in five days I did make thirty cents, but it wasn't just made this afternoon. I figured it was a glitch or something since I wasn't even here to post at that time nor do much visiting. Then my program captured the most recent spreadsheet, but I didn't end up saving the correct one after all that.

That was a bit disappointing for you when you realised what had happened.

@jaboUK I hope my gibberish doesn't rub off on you, Janet.

I really didn't think it jumped thirty cents unless a type of glitch was going on. At first I was going to ask if anyone else noticed that today, until I realized what probably happened. Excel usually recovers spreadsheets for me that I've not saved recently and that's what happened, but one of them was accurate and one wasn't. I thought I was shutting down the one that was wrong, but later found that was the right one after all. I'm sure this is gibberish to you, but regardless, I've figured it out. I'm just missing several days figures now since I didn't save the correct one. No problem, it's happened before.

I'm not sure that you read it all the way through? It wasn't since this am that I made that amount, but rather within the past several days. Mine is pretty slow too mostly because I can't be here all the time. I'm finally almost up to six dollars, but I was only shy about fifty cents from my June amount and didn't have enough for payout that month.

@GardenGerty told me how to go check to see what I earned each day. My best day here was 29 cents, from what I can see looking back a couple of months. That 29 cents was a day this month.

@MarshaMusselman My main concern is making that $5 minimum. I'm on the right track so far this month.

@marsha32 I probably won't be able to make the minimum each and every month. I'll be there for July because I was only missing about fifty cents for June. I was trying to gain an extra five dollars, but that probably won't happen either unless I can be here a lot the last week. It seems to be busier during the last several days.

I rarely look at the stats found under the money on the top right. I usually jot down my beginning totals for the day, and if I'm up late at night I count that for the day before and begin the next days' totals whenever I get up again. Then if it changes throughout the day I'll put a hypen between the two. Maybe I'm over-working it, but that's how I've done it for several years now and probably will continue in the same vein.

I keep track after we get paid on the 15th of each month.

Do you jot down the amount you make on a daily basis? I try to look first thing in the morning and then again before bedtime, but since I never know for sure how much I'll be around the site, I will jot it down as it increases throughout the day. My computer shut itself down earlier when I was gone, otherwise I'd have had it correct from earlier this week. Now I'm missing some figures, but no big deal.

Wow a thirty cent increase for a mornings work would have been nice but I guess it's still pretty good even for a few days work

It wasn't even a day's work, Marilyn, but rather several days work. I wasn't looking at the most current spreadsheet at the time. It took me a few hours to figure it out though.

That's funny because today I thought I saw my bank jump by 10 cents but then when I came back on again later the amount was lowered. Maybe I misread it.

Maybe so, that's sort of what happened to me too. I was on the wrong day when looking at my beginning figures.
