It's Summer Not Spring

Wow we just had a big storm roll through my area. It was very fast and the clouds looked so strange. There were lines of clouds and you could clearly see each line of clouds. I'm not sure I have ever seen storm clouds look quite like this. And boy the storm moved fast through my area. We had thunder and lightening as well.
From when I noticed the storm clouds coming towards me until the rain and thunder moved out of my area was all of about 15 minutes. I can still hear the thunder a bit east of me and the rain is just about stopped. They are saying we will have storms all day long today. I am hoping not as I am going to my brothers house this afternoon and it's a 60 mile drive.
My picture is from my back porch facing north, the storm is moving north east at this point. See the strange storm cloud formations. Fascinating.

@simone10 We did however run into some really bad storms on the way home that night. But I took it slow and we arrived home safely.

@fishtiger58 So have we. We're having the greenest summer we've ever had. Not a brown lawn in sight. Now the weather just needs to turn down the heat.

@just4him We have had a lot of rain the past week, constantly mowing the lawn it's growing so fast with all the rain.

That is unusual. You can see lines of different shades and even a blueish tinge.

Yes you sure can, and the back edge of the worst of the storm clouds had a pinkish tinge to them.

WOW I hope it's not on our way we're in Indiana. We've had a couple of really bad storms last week. This summer has been so weird with the weather. Have a safe trip

It is heading north east, I"m 50 miles south of Chicago so it may not hit all of Indiana,. I am only 10 miles west of the Indiana border.

the storm is over, but they say more coming, oh well I'm still driving to his house, I just hate driving in the rain.
