So Im expecting a package today and I heard a knock and I went to open the door and my package was at my front door but the ups person was gone. This isnt the first time this has happened. If I had my own house I wouldnt mine but this apartment complex we live I wish they wouldnt do that especially with those brats upstairs. I mean I got right away but how did they know I was home I could've been gone. I wish there was a way I could ask them to make sure someone gets my package's and not to leave them like that. I mean are they that busy they can't wait to see if someone answer's the door.

I have worked (on a seasonal basis) for UPS, and I can tell you they are on a STRICT timeline. We were told that UPS tells its drivers in big cities like New York, Atlanta, and Chicago to double park because it's cheaper for UPS to pay the parking fines than it is for them to refund the fees if the "guaranteed by 10:30 AM" packages don't arrive by 10:30 AM. But I completely understand what you mean. I do live in a house, and years ago I had about $500 worth of asthma medications stolen off my porch because they delivered it and just left it sitting on the porch for all to see.

Yeah I mean I understand that cause my husband is a truck driver but I think they could at least wait an extra second just like you said about your package they would be upset if it happened to them.

I totally agree. They do this with my packages too, but I live in the country and usually there is someone here at all times. However, if I were in an apartment complex or in town, I would find out if there is any way that you can have packages left at the post office for you to pick up if the one delivering won't make sure someone is home first.
