Browser Issue Again?

Late Afternoon I boot up my desktop computer and it froze for about 15 minutes. So I decided to shut it down by pushing the power button for about 10 seconds. Then, few more minutes icons loaded up I launched my chrome browser. It froze again for 10 minutes. Wow! I'm suspecting my version was outdated but when I checked it, its still the new version. I ran my anti virus software and detected no virus at all. It's annoying when you want to browse on something and you cannot push further. My next plan by tomorrow is to reformat my desktop computer. I think that would be the best remedy for the entire issue I'm facing right now. It's been 6 years already since I bought that desktop computer.

I'd run ccleaner, anti malwarebytes then defrag and see what happens after that. also check you're up to date software wise. Same happened to me but realised I'd not updated windows for a while, after the update things were fine.

I'll try your recommendation later. Maybe windows update had something issue with it also. Thanks Mike.

@Jefrox may not work but it's easier than reformatting and if it works it'd save you some time. Hope you get it fixed soon. Also another fix may be to simply use another browser?

It is annoying when this happens. It is hard to know what causes it. I would be stuck if this happened to me.

I used to have a lot of problems with Chrome. It would freeze my computer all of the time. I'm now using Firefox and I don't have those problems.
