Have you experienced to plant rice in the muddy farmfield? Its really fun when you are in the field trying to plant that rice seedlings with your fingers and not by machine. This is the season of planting rice again. The season of rain is the season of planting. Lots of people go to the field and planting the rice. Eight o clock in the morning and they are their. They stop at 12 noon and return in 1PM until 5PM. This tradition is still practice in the country though many farmers are already using machines. But still, there are many who still use the traditional method.

The farmers in our hometown go to the fields at around 4 or 5 and start planting rice. They come home at around 9 when it's already hot. Yup, I had also tried planting rice seedlikgs before when I was a kid.

@ilocosboy,Same here in India.Predictions for a good rain this year have come true.Farmers are happy. They are working hard in their fields. In my area only a few farmers who are rich use machines.Others use ploughs and bullocks.

many farmers here use tractors but when it comes to the planting of rice, its still the human skills.

I would love that. I am a total rice person, so to have a rice paddy would be so fitting - but not where we live. I know a lot of water is needed for such a field, and that's not going to happen here - we barely get rain.

that is why the rainy season is also the season of planting of rice seedlings.
