My Crafting Desk

It really is under there somewhere! I still feel so lucky to have found this desk at a church rummage sale. The sale was to help raise money for the youth group where my daughter was attending, and their trip to London. I didn't see it all day long and then someone said she couldn't believe no one had bought it. Needless to say, I put a sold sign on it right away. I only paid $5 for it! It's solid wood. It has 3 drawers down each side of the middle and then a draw in the middle on both sides. The ends can be up for down. I keep them up. When they are up the table/desk is 8 ft. Some of what is on top of it is projects I've worked on here and there. Some of it is books from the living room. Some of it is things I have bought (craft supplies). I'm wondering if it should be my first goal of cleaning off. Just that alone will take me a long time. I used to keep my machine in the middle, my small ironing board on one side, and my cutting mat on the other side.

I find church rummage sales to be the best because so many donate and the prices are usually low.

@marsha32 That's true they are not worried about the profit margin. I got my leather recliner for $25 and it is beautiful

Sounds like a great find! I drooled just a little bit when I read "solid wood."

Very heavy and it's also so wide that we had to take the doors off the front and the bedroom both to get it in there.

I think this is great that you are taking us on the journey to organize with you. It may help motivate me. I do really like your sewing desk, and unlike the others, I have seen it in person.

It's amazing how any surface becomes cluttered in no time at all. The table sounds like a very nice one.
