Poor Marco never finds Polo

There once was these two boys. One named Marco and the other name Polo.
They loved summer time so much they every summer they would go to different towns and visit different swimming places. One time Marco lost Polo so now every summer every where play a game shouting back n forth Marco, Polo in hopes that Marco will one day find Polo. So next time your swimming help Marco look for Polo and if you find him tell him his brother is looking for him.

This reminds me of I know not what. Is there a game played by children where they shout either of those names? And is this game played in the water? If that is the case, then is this a story you made up to go along with that game?

Yes to all your questions,lol. I can remeber as kids playing the game with my friends whenever we went swimming. I just thought about it the other day and thought that would be cute.
