I have been born in a battlefield Age generously Hundreds tried to kill me And yet you still see me. I have been sheltered my whole life Yet I see the enemy Call me Waterboy But just remember I am not a toy My feelings have been scorned Heads become hard Some say I've become cold-hearted Look what the world of man has done I am God's child Though I think HE'S abandon me Yet I look forward Hoping HE will free me. This world has changed since I was a child Used to date easy Now it's like a candy store And dates are like prices Bullies have worsen Children with kids Police are now being scared of Because of these men they've killed Are we truly a dying land? What happen to laughter? What happen to peace? Military combat will that ever cease? Tho story goes forever I can write millions of ways Since I'm back to writing again I will say who I am I have been born in a battlefield Age generously Hundreds tried to kill me And yet you still see me.

This is a very powerful poem, well done. I don't get the reference to Waterboy.

Being shelter and only doing what your parents say. Not really seeing the world until I was damn near grown. Like the movie 'Waterboy'.
