The unexpected little blossom

I was devastated when a recent sand storm leveled my teeny sunflower patch. Then a couple days ago while taking photos out side I came across a wonderful sight, a small sunflower was blooming on one of the knocked over stalks.
Isn't Mother Nature grand?

I hope so, the others are all face down and I'm hoping the seeds have ripened for new plants.

Thanks @silvermist but at least some of the seeds did ripen and it seems something has been dining on them, if I'm lucky they'll leave their droppings and I'll get new plants.

Yikes a sandstorm, that must be awful. I have never been in one of those. Glad something survived it.

get you a few fence post those cheap ones that are easy to take in and out of the ground I use rebar electric fence posts to stalk sunflowers before storms to help them survive you can leave them there year after year too and just plant the sunflowers beside them we get horrible wind here and it keeps mine standing this year I just planted short ones so i didnt have to stake them

Good idea, I think I'll see how much rebars cost, then I can put a few in an area where I know there are a few seeds. Who knows, maybe I'll have a better crop next season.

She sure does, I just pray more people start to give her what she needs to succeed.

Sunflowers have to be tough. Nature designed them that way to survive the elements.
