Does too much rain create depression in mind?

July 26, 2016 8:38pm CST
During monsoons in some cities, people find too much rain. In Kolkata it is raining for 10 days at a stretch. Many people get mental depression, by not finding sunlight. Does too much rain create depression in mind?

Thanks Bhagyashree, your roads in Mumbai are better, Kolkata has muddy roads, so people dont love rains at a stretch.

Rainy days are really depressing especially if it is prolonged. This may cause depressive symptoms because of our eagerness to see the sunlight and do the things that we normally do during dry season.

@sathviksouvik Yes that's true. That is because we can do many things if it is sunny.

@magallon Yes Cristy, in areas where roads are bad, rain leads to waterlogging and traffic jams.

I think so. The gloominess creates gloominess in our hearts as well.

@sathviksouvik It's raining at this very moment. But I"m loving it since it hasn't rained for more than a week now.

@toniganzon Thanks Toni, another factor is that your place has excellent roads. My city Kolkata has muddy roads and in monsoons it gets worst. that is a problem.
