Do guys really prefer their girlfriends/wife to keep their hair long??

I know there's this funny thing about many Chinese guys where I live. They seem to like their girlfriend/wife to keep their hair long!
I know of some girls who would never cut their hair short, just because 'My boyfriend likes me with long hair' or 'My husband will not allow me to have my hair short'!!
I mean, please! Get a life! Shouldn't the bf/hubby love their other half for more than just their long hair? And why would the ladies refuse to get a different hairstyle just because their other half doesn't like it?
Actually, I cut my hair really short after I got married & I did freak my hubby out a little. But he has since gotten used to my constant change of hairstyle, so now he loves me for being me!

Guys really do like their girlfriends/wives to have long hair. I think they like to have it long and flowing to run their fingers through. I have my hair chemically permed, and I know I’ll have to cut it at some point. I already told my husband just to prepare him for it, because I know he’d be upset if I cut my hair short without warning. That doesn’t mean I cannot or will not cut it. I need freedom with my hair.

But those ladies who keep their hair long just for the sake of their men, I really find it funny. I mean, shouldn't he love you not just because of the tresses? And if the guy loves his girl, hey, can't she even decide for herself what hairsyle she would like to sport!

My husband was just the opposite. When we got married he insisted that I cut my long hair very short. He didn't like me having to mess with long hair all the time. Back in those days I was still setting it on huge brush rollers every night to achieve the long straight look with my thin, frizzy hair. I've worn it short for 30 years, but now for the first time I'm trying to grow it out a bit. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Hey, this may sound pretty unusual to you guys in the West, but a lot of ladies here actually don't cut their hair short, just because their boyfriend/husband don't like them too!
Amazing isn't it? But it's really true! Talk about living in a modern society... :P

LOL as i said in your previous discussion, i've always kept mine long to hide my round face...though it doesnt really do a good job. but i have to agree with you, there's a lot of chinese guy who wants their partner to have long hair to be more girly..it's rather sad but true...which reminds me, i gotta ask my bf about this discussion juz to tease him a little bit! ;0)
