Some online jobs just don't pay

I was assigned for doing some web search extraction work. The work was to get the author names from amazon and also kickstarter project owners name and link. So I was asked to use one tool. And by using those tools I was supposed to extract some data. For some reason i didn't managed to get the content out at all. I didn't understood how to do just that. I wonder how those tools work for others. I for one didn't able to use those things. And guess how much I was going to get paid ? 5$ That's right spending entire day and getting? 5$. I felt like I am back in the world of earning from PTC and chatting type of sites. I just want to go away from this small jobs world. They bring you hardest tasks and give you very low returns. I so wish this suffering gets over and I find something that pays better. I am tired of earning cents and few bucks for spending days of my life.

exactly. it takes day for simple stuff and can't be automated either.

You should have an offline job too. I also rely on online jobs since 2008 and been through different sites. In my country $5 is good income for a day already. Wish I could earn well too online.

5$ a day would not do much in india. So I am really worried about spending time online.

I also really wish I could find a reputable job online. I know they are out there but very hard to find.

there are sites on the internet that pay well but they sometimes have high requirements to meet and tests etc but if you are looking for good money then you have to be ablel to offer something more than the average person.

@skysnap I can earn more on other sites such as paid surveys but mylot is more fun. If I had a job outside the home I wouldn't have time for mylot.

@shaggin yes mylot is for fun. But I am hoping to do better on mylot too. If that worked out then good. if not then other projects are in mind.

it was 5$ for all the days work which is bad if you ask me. I can't afford that much time loss. I don't spend much time on mylot more than few minutes here. mostly the off time between work is spent here.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I have been working on line for several years and I have to make it work for me because I can no longer work outside of home at this time. I know it is very boring and very time consuming band you have to start somewhere even if it is just a dollar the dollars will grow. They have for me I am not rich by any means but I make enough to get by, Some bills, groceries, Garage Sales and e.t.c. I love all the online jobs I do it took and does take time for me but I have never paid for any site ever that I have been working on for years now. true that. I wish to someday move from regular work to pure online. but earning in cents per month is time consuming. and 5$ for entire day was big stretch.

five dollars a day is huge for me and I've done that the other site before but these days i can't even get close to a dollar.

How many hours did you work online for the 5 dollars a day? It seems that you have to spend long hours working on it to get that much. Although it is not too much for it, I would like to have a try. What site is it, please? Now I am enjoying my holidays and I have some time for making some online earnings.

Major online websites pay pennies only. Here people are ready to provide work at very low cost. Maybe because of large workforce available. Websites claiming higher payments does not pay at all.

People who exploit others for small amount in third world country are not business people, just exploiters. There are business and people who pay higher but the jobs and skills required are of different level too. I guess I have to up my game and work on something better.
