Trying a low carb diet

After spending the end of June and all of July at the gym, there was no real movement on the scale which was frustrating. I don't eat junk food, I don't eat sweets or midnight snacks, there should have been some weight loss. So I figured that I'd try cutting carbs to see if that would make any difference. Like I said, we don't eat sweets so I won't be missing cake, candy, ice cream, cookies, or any of that stuff. I will miss pasta but, if cutting it out helps me to lose weight, I'll forego it for now. I'm sure I'll get a craving for a bagel but, again, if this thing works I'll happily eat some eggs instead. We shall see!

Well I hope it works out for you. I lost 7 pounds in 2 months and all i did was cut my meal portions and drink more water. I do need to start exercising though so I can get toned.

You have spent two months building muscle which weighs more than fat. I do understand that it is good to limit carbs, but you should not totally eliminate anything. Good luck, let us know how you do.

I hope it works for you. I've tried doing no carbs and that didn't work. I have cut out a lot of the white carbs I used to eat (white bread, white rice, white potatoes) and this seems to be working a little better. Adding more grains into my diet fills me up more and seems to speed up my metabolism a little bit.

I once lost 25 pounds on Atkins, so it does work. I also lost 25 during basic training, but I don't think you want to take it that far!
