It was fun fun fun! I am happy with the things I got done while there. The socializing with other quilters is always great. Being away from the stress and chaos of my house is always a blessing. The meals were so good. There was so much food that they sent home so many of the leftover with me--a big gallon sized bag of chicken, a large bag of salad, a container of mixed salad greens, a container of cherry tomatoes, a whole pizza, and about 15 Hawaiian roll ham and cheese sandwiches. I almost finished all 3 of the Barbie bedding sets that you see one of in the picture of this post. There is one for each of 3 granddaughters with birthdays in August. All I have to do to finish the other sets is sew 3 little pillows shut. I made 2 sets of 2 microwave hotpads that will be up for sale in my etsy shop. I also made one for myself. I made 4 sets of coasters. One to send to an online friend, which is a set that should have been made long ago. One set in greens and pinks that will be for sale in my etsy shop. Then I made 2 sets with Armed Forces fabric prints from a charm pack. These 2 sets have a cotton batting center that the other sets don't have and will also be listed in my etsy shop. I sewed up 2 more rows of that colorful quilt that I started this past week. I got another row and made more blocks for the black and white with a bit of red quilt. I got more yo-yo's added to the table runner, leaving me 34 more to put on to finish it. I managed to win one door prize, which is a Halloween wall hanging kit. I won one game prize of a pencil set for marking patterns on quilts. The games were pretty fun. The first one there was a red clip they called a quilt bug. You had to sneak around clipping it to someone. At the up time that person had to pull a task from the jar to do. At my time my task was to name 4 past presidents of the guild. We played Don't Say That. Tiny clothespins were stolen for the day when we heard someone say the words we weren't to say. Some of the words were: ok, you know, scissors, lend, and tired. They had left, right, center to play to win fabric strips. In 6 rounds I never won, but a couple of the ladies didn't want the strips and gave them to me. The grand prize and 5 runner up prizes were won in a raffle of sorts. We each got 10 papers then had to wait until some time after supper last night to finally open our slips to see who won. One lucky lady won both the grand prize and one of the runner up prizes too! Would you like me to share pictures of some of my other projects in posts this week? The unfinished items will be in my WIP Wednesday post on my blog. Ok, off to spend some time in notifications and play a little catch up.

I loved the left, right, center. It was such a fun break from sewing sewing and more sewing. The other games went on while we sewed.

Well here you are. I hope you have made it to cash out, but if not, there is next month. I am going to wind up and head to bed fairly soon. It sounds like you had a wonderful time, though.

Yes, I had made it to cash out before the retreat so then ended up 26 cents over I think.

I'm going to try to stay that way with my sewing. I want to join a fall/winter bowling league and need to make enough money to pay each week.

There are usually games at the retreats for chances to win prizes. The smaller prizes were for that. The bigger prizes we were given 80 tickets with our name on them and we put our names in the jars for the prizes we were interested in winning.

Hopefully my post today didn't end up being more of me promoting that I make the hotpads over just telling about them.
