Big families!

My family is a big one! We are 6 children, 5 sisters and 1 brother. We are always chatting, laughing, discussing and sometimes getting in trouble! We are all grown ups, but really love each other. Nowadays young couples have the tendency to reduce the number of children. What do you think about this fact? Is it a good thing or a bad one?

I'm not sure, only had one brother, I guess it's good to have a number of brothers and sisters.

I wish I could have another child so my son would have a sibling but his father is just solid on never having another child. I am one of 4 from my mom 5 if you count my dad's son with another woman. I was watching tv and a woman said her father was an only child but he went and had 22 kids! Crazy isn't it? I thought cheaper by the dozen was insane.

Not everyone wants a large family but large families is a blessing. There can be more support in larger families. Especially siblings who are close in age.

That's great that you all get on so well with each other. Two children were enough for me.

It really depends. Often, in the past, it wasn't about wanting a big family. It was about a lack of birth control and infant mortality. Today, however, a lot has to do with financial stability.

Awww thats really sweet! I wish I had more sisters and brotheres hehe got 2 of them. Umm I think people reduce the number because of financial problems. taking care of a kid and paying all their needs is expensive.

I'm an only child but my boyfriend has three older brothers. I think children with no siblings just feel lonely and they're likely to be more awkward when it comes to socializing. The only pro is that they tend to be spoilt. But I know I won't have any direct nephews. We are 7 bilions, I think 2 children are enough nowadays. People now are more into work and start having children late, and one already takes too much money and attention, so maybe one child is already a big milestone nowadays.

I have 3 siblings. In the future, I would love to have just one or two children. I prefer a smaller family.

I came from a large family, it`s not fun, as there is never enough to go around, not the correct presents, not enough attention from parents and ,and, and.
