After several days of summer-like heat, now comes the rain

It's supposed to be rainy season in our country at this time of the year. In fact, in the last few weeks, a few typhoons have passed by the northern regions of the land. However, in our place which is in the central part of the country, the heat we have been having in the past weeks seemed we have gone back to summer time. I have even gone back to my afternoon routine of watering our plants and lawn. As there was not much to do this afternoon, I made some quick trimming of the grass on a portion of our lawn after which I took a break for my afternoon coffee. After a while, the rain suddenly poured like it was raining cats and dogs. What a relief for me to skip watering the plants today and to keep us from the sweltering heat!
