Stan the Man. The legendary Stan Musial remains a revered icon in Redbird Nation. His career achievements are astounding. An All-Star 20 of his 22 seasons. Seven time batting champion with a .331 career average. His 3,630 hits are fourth all time. These were his batting averages for his league MVP seasons: .357 in 1943, .365 in 1946 and .376 in 1948. His career stats were have been even greater if not for time spent in service during World War II. Stan the Man easily stands among the very greatest to ever play the game.

For whatever reason I've never gotten into baseball. Here in Kentucky it's all about college basketball.

My dad grew up way down in southern IL and has always been a fan of the Cardinals since he was a little kid. My grandfather would take him to the games.
