To me passive income is when something is done once and then you can earn money off it for a long time. They never really pay super great but have potential to add up. For me I have a blog that I write and as I get more views the money goes up but also my older posts still get views and add to the earnings as well. I also have two YouTube channels that trickle in pennies here and there. Im not earning enough to retire but I believe that every penny adds up and one day if I keep at it it could make a huge difference in my life. What kinds of passive income do you do?

I have a 403(b) retirement account which is like a 401(k) except my employer doesn't match my contributions. That is my favorite passive way to earn income. I put money in and then leave it there to do what it does. Sometimes I win (earn) and sometimes I lose. Most of the time I earn money and now I have quite a lot more in than I ever actually deposited. Love it.

We have a few stocks that we are watching grow but sometimes I feel like they might not be there when we finally need them. We lost $60,000 in the economic hick up of 2008 and I still feel a bit uneasy about trusting it to be there.

@happythoughts I'm not yet 40 so I'm still far enough away from retirement to feel comfortable having money in stocks.

@NJChicaa I'm just under 40 and I wish I could retire tomorrow. I guess I need to learn to be patient.

I have articles, a few sites, a handful of Kindle ebooks, some YouTube videos and a growing number of roleplaying game supplements for online income, and a few pennies still from Flash games. Of the current sources, the RPG supplements are my favourite to create.

Hi! I just have Mylot where I am earning a passive income too. I recently put up my own blog. What is your blog about? Is it a free one or you also pay for its domain name and hosting?

I have a general life blog that I cover recipes in and the like. My husband and I also have a travel blog that we post on regularly. We just really want to be able to travel more and so we are hoping one day to make a decent online income.

@happythoughts Hi. Thanks for commenting back. So you have two blogs? Is your general blog in your profile?

I guess you could say I don't do anything passive then. I earn here, I earn on swagbucks as well. We get a bi-yearly profit incentive check from work so that could be considered "passive".

I'm not sure if I could consider mylotting, blogging with bitLanders and investing in Bitcoin as earning passive income but it's close

I don't really do anything for "passive income" But, I do write on here and blogbourne and do other ways to bring in extra income. Nothing to write home about. But, I am thinking of getting into affiliate marketing.
