Horrible News: 5 Dead In Lightning Struck

Five people are reported to be dead when lightning struck a hovel or shed where the victims take shelter because of the heavy rain in Manabo, Abra, Philippines. Yesterday, at afternoon, when the five farmers were found in the ricefield lifeless which they alleged caused by lightning because of burns in different parts of their body. The local doctors confirmed the victims were dead because of electrical shock secondary to lightning injury. Some people observed that lightning is deadlier these days because of high numbers of victims this year.

Lightning now is really deadlier, in that province alone the victims reach 8.

That kind of thing is fairly common where I live. Every summer we hear of a few cases where people are killed by lightning. We have really nasty storms here and they terrify me.

Bless their souls! Sicentists said lightnings today are so destructive because of the numerous electrical gadgets we are using like cellphones, modems, etc.
