Plants in the Olympics Opening Ceremony

This morning when I switched on the TV the opening ceremony of the Olympics at Rio was on. While everything of the ceremony was impressive I was impressed with the concept of giving such a prominent place to plants. The tricycles leading each contingent were decorated with plants and flowers. The children walking beside the tricycles carried each a plant. While humanity is celebrating brotherhood we cannot exclude plants and trees who are our brothers and sisters and sharers of the planet.

I agree. I didn't see the ceremony but I'm glad to hear that vegetation was featured.

I watched for a while last night and saw the children with the plants. I was impressed.

Plants can really make a difference. Plants are used on so many occasions. Plants can change an atmosphere.

That seems to go well with an environmental theme.
