people's sadistic nature

lately I've been watching the tudors. I don't know how many of you got to watch this tv series but I can tell you it's definitely worth it. it ilustrates the life of king henry the VIII. anyway it shocked me the sadistic nature of the people from those times. why would you want to assist a public execution and even more bring kids along to see such a show?

I find it weird that Queen Mary of tudors is an innocent little girl in the series. she is very far from the evil half sister of Elizabeth I we all know.
