In search for socks...

Apparently my socks never remember "The Buddy System." whenever I wash them. Sigh...

The mission to Mars seems an easier feat than the solution of the sock enigma.

Check the sheet corners! Do you use a dryer. I find they end up stuck to things in the dryer. When I take laundry out of the washer I find the socks and hang them up in pairs. I rarely lose a sock. Trouble is I could stand to lose a few of my worn out socks that I keep washing - one more time.

Most sicks don't. They were obviously never trained well. LOL. I know what you mean. But they do have those mesh bags to put sock in to wash them.

@teresatrotter Mine never dry correctly if they are not hung up on the washing line in pairs. Each has to be with its own mate. It's an infuriating habit that they picked up last year when I took them to Pakistan with me and they haven't been the same since.

They are on the island of lost things along with all my missing scissors, combs, pens, and other things. The missing fairy flies around every night collecting things that attract her eye. She puts them in a bag. When it is full, she calls for Pegasus, the flying horse and loads up herself and the sack. Don't worry, she will be back soon.

@teresatrotter I could not believe I was typing that. I have no idea where it came from, was just making it up as I went along.

Your socks decided to separate. Just respect "their" decision.

Sadly, it's not just socks for me. I have a few different things missing, like what did I do with my camera charger? I've got so many cords and connectors and adaptors, and I just wish they were all interchangeable! I should get more organized. I need to organize the sock drawer. Sometimes I think we should just buy the same socks, all matchers, then it doesn't matter if one is gone. Bingo, instantly replaced!

Apparently this is a common problem. Put the socks in the dryer, and the sock goblin seems to come and kidnap them. So I had to find a solution. What I do, and what i tell my kids to do, is go to the store, and get one of those little bags that you wash delicates in, ( it looks like a mesh bag with drawstring, and usually I find it where they sell the clothes pins, and irons, and stuff). When you wash and dry your socks make sure they are in that little bag, and you will find that you won't lose the pair of socks nearly as much as you did before. Try it, you might like it. :D
