Humidity is high temps down. we had pork
eggroll for lunch, mixed veggies, chicken
noodle soup, and gummy brownies for
dessert. I found dipped in coffee they
were edible if gummy
. Lunch was really pretty good, surprising
that a lot of people were not there.I just
do not see that since we are charged for
room and board, how can we then afford
to eat out all the time?Huong was not there
and I did not really miss her at all. shame on
me.

My Mom says the same thing. With the cost of a nursing home being what it is, taking the meals... is something that I wouldn't want to pass up!

just to clear up things I am not in a nursing home, nursing homes have huge medic al staff. many nurses drs et., I am in a retirement center and we do not take ill people here as there is no
medical staff at all. I would not ever have gone to
a nursing home as Im not ill Im retired big difference..

Lol. .sounds like Huong is a source of a lot of irritation. It is strange that people there would be eating out. I can see it would be a treat but most people in a living situation like that don't seem to be able to do it. Maybe for special occasions.

that's the difference between retirement centers like I'm in and nursing homes where the residents are frail ill people and have a big nursing staff here we have no nurses or doctors no hospital beds and wards. we are comparatively healthy and have no medical
staff at all.
