What is that one secret that you can never share with anyone?

I was asked this question when i was being interview for a job to work tutor online. I told her that since it's a secret that i can never share with anyone, why would i answer the question. A secret is a secret, and once I answer it according to her instruction, the secret will no longer be a secret. I do not know if this make sense, since i wouldn't want my future employer to know about an embarrassing story that i have still.

That really is a daft question for them to ask. If you can answer it, it's obviously not a secret you can never share - because you've just shared it.

@cuttyrish Perhaps they were seeing how good you were at keeping secrets?

I don't understand how such question can be useful for a job interview. A secret is a secret, indeed. Maybe it was a challenge, they wanted to see if you can keep secrets, if you are discreet?

@sabtraversa Maybe they have some secrets on how they tutor students, and all those methods on the website they use.. even if some question will be useful for a job interview, i will not risk answering :)

It is none of her business and has nothing to do with a job. If you start telling secrets, they are not secrets anymore. I would not tell her anything.

That question is irrelevant to the job applied for. A secret is meant to be kept. I will not answer that question. By the time I get hired, that company can expect me to keep company secrets as well.

I think thats really rather rude as if its'that much of a secret it should never be revealed and she had no right asking ' you that.
