It's raining and one of the best to do this time is to eat. Just eating. And to answer some cravings here is some pork cracklings or as we know it chicharon. Chicharon is deep fried pork belly which is so delicious when dip to vinegar with chili and onions. When it hits your mouth, the cracklings is really the sound of yumminess of the chicharon and before you know it you again get one and make that sound in your mouth. Though you can add this to your pinakbet recipe but the best for me to do with pork cracklings is to eat while watching Rio Olympics now.

My husband would enjoy this. I am a vegetarian, but he is a carnivore, so this is something he could prepare.

I like chicharon when it's a little bit salty.

@ilocosboy yes, that's my favorite. Now I'm craving for chicharon. Unfortunately, the chicharon that we can buy on the sari-sari store are not good.

It's my favorite too, but cautious because of the fats; it might elevate my blood pressure.

@ilocosboy I'm not familiar with chicharon which I believe is a Filipino delicacy. It looks like most of it is skin and little mean or fat, right?
