It seems as though the rain doesn't like where I live. For weeks anything forecast just doesn't materialize, or it goes to the north or south of us.
Today, for example, the city 30 minutes north got rain on and off all day. They need it just as much as we do.
Tonight they are calling for a 70% of rain. I hope it happens.

Today's forecast is 80% chance of rain. We have been experiencing heavy rain since Monday and classes were actually cancelled for two days due to two hours of heavy rainfall. Some areas were flooded too but not that terrible.

@toniganzon thanks. We didn't get close to what they were calling for, but we eventually did get some. Hopefully they are right about what we are supposed to get on Tuesday.

I wish you could share with us. It is very dry. Some farmers are in danger of losing their crops if they haven't already.

We are certainly wishing for rain here, but it probably won't happen until mid September or so. I hope you get yours!

We are having one of the driest Summer's on record. We got a small amount overnight and 2 very short sprinkles that barely wet the road. Currently we are under a severe thunderstorm watch, but radar is showing everything missing us for another couple hours.

That's pretty much been our entire summer here in Gainesville. All hell has broken loose around us this summer in the form of severe and heavy rainfall, but we are practically in drought conditions inside our city. Every day, all the storms formed around us, none seemed to quite make it over us.
However, this past week has seen us return to somewhat normal summer conditions, which is to say, it's been raining here every afternoon.

I live on the northern shore of Lake Erie(one of the Great Lakes), in southern Ontario. The lakes and escarpment do affect our weather, but this year is just so abnormal.
