Bad cancer stick

I just had a memory occur when I was on @ida123 post about her shop that is no longer selling cigarettes. This was when I was in 13 and I was at a park with my best friend at the time. We normally went to the park to write and no one really was around, until one day these two kids, probably around 15 come up and start talking to us. We were really anti social so we really did not say much. We told them what we were doing and they tried to invite us to their place but hey we were busy writing. So before they left one of the guys got up on the table and put something in the canopy that we were sitting under. I was really curious as to what he put up there so I waited until I could not see them anymore after they left and I climbed on the table myself and took out what they were hiding. They were hiding a cigarette. My friend and I were laughing our hinies off and I climbed down the table and I tore up the cigarette and because I had plenty of paper I wrote on a piece of paper "Bad cancer stick" and rolled it up to make it look like a cigarette and put it in the same place where the cigarette used to be. The next day my friend and I were at the park but we were sitting in a different area and the two guys from the day before go to the canopy and look for the cigarette, but whhhhaaatt? It is gone? Where did it go? They actually come up to us and ask us if we touched it. My friend is a terrible liar so I took on the role of being clueless saying, "Touched what?" He states, "The cigarette" I say, "Ew, a cigarette? I would not touch one of those if my life depended on it." He squints at me, "Did you write this?" He shows the paper I wrote for him. I go, "No, my hand writing isn't even close to that," I faked my hand writing on the paper in case this happened and I showed him my hand writing that was in my notebook. He ended up believing me that I did not touch the cigarette and him and his friend leave. My best friend and I were so scared that they would come back so we left to go back to her home, still loving how we got away with that. Cigarettes are terrible, I know people smoke them for many reasons and it is hard to shake off, but you are an adult, that is your choice. These were teenagers, teenagers that should not have gotten their hands on something like that. Yeah they probably got one the next time they found a person to buy from, but I hoped that it sound have taught them something. At least it was a good memory for me.

Haha, funny story. Smoking is really bad for you. My sister has just discovered she has cancer and has given up. I wish she had never started in the first place though.

@DesirousDreamer she's doing well at the moment. She has had surgery and will be having chemo soon which is probably going to be the worst bit.

@sprite1950 chemo does take a lot out of a person but as long as she has people supporting her, she will be okay.

The reason why I stop selling these cancer stick is because, I want people around me or even kids free from this hazardous stick that kills many and I hope, many will follow my initiative in stop selling this product.

You're right, it's a cancer stick. Good thing you think of it as a bad stick at a young age. Good girl.

The D.A.R.E. program worked! I also saw lungs that were black as tar in the 6th grade...Yeahhh never really was interested in smoking. Also I get ear infections from the smoke.
