Be careful who you tease!

Yesterday my husband and I were almost at our son's house for our grandson's 7th birthday party. We saw our daughter and her husband in his truck right in front of us, so my husband, the tease he is, starting blowing and blowing his horn at them as we sat at the stop light. It seemed rather strange when they turned onto a different street. That's when we saw our son-in-law's truck parked in the driveway. Oh man, we were so embarrassed. It's a wonder those people didn't stop and let us have it. Our ears were burning with what they probably wanted to say!

I'm laughing as I can visualize your mistake..... Bet the people in the truck are still trying to figure out any you were honking

And to add to the coincidence, they had SC license plates like our son-in-law has.

@1creekgirl Your story reminds me of the day when I saw a white Jeep coming in the opposite direction near our local supermarket. I thought it was my daughter so I was honking and waving like crazy only to see a very bewildered man at the wheel when it got closer

I don't like to tease people unless I know them really well and am facing them, even then I am reluctant.

I've done that before, but to somebody in person! I saw somebody I knew--but haven't seen in a long time--and ran up and gave her a big hug, and then started talking and chatting and catching up with her. After about 15 minutes she finally stopped me and told me that she wasn't the person I thought she was! She was a complete stranger that happened to look like my friend! And the funny thing is, I ended up becoming friends with her later when she realized we had mutual friends on Facebook. Man, it was so embarrassing when that happened!

Good thing the truck driver didn't retaliate for your hubby's blowing the horn of his car . Here in the Philippines , there are a lot of road rage because the drivers are short tempered or quick to anger .

Teasing can be funny or it can be mean. My husband would never keep blowing his horn like that at strangers. My daughter would have thought it was funny if it had been her in the truck.

My daughter and son-in-law would have thought it was funny. Does your husband like to tease, or is he just impatient?

lol. Just when you think you "know" someone. That must have been fun. In a similar embarrassing situation I was driving around somewhere and had my mom in the car with me, and for whatever reason we were arguing about something. We were at a traffic light and I kept hearing someone honking at me. So I kept shouting at my mother and flipping off the guy behind me quite intensely. It was days later I heard a commerical come on the radio with that exact same honking and realized I was so heated arguing with my mother I had no idea it wasn't the person behind me honking. I can't even imagine what they must have thought just sitting there at a traffic light with some crazed maniac in front of them flipping them the bird for no reason. lol
